Short Bio:
Dr. Qingxuan Yang, professor at the Sanya Oceanographic Institution, Ocean University of China, has been engaged in the study of the mixing process in the South China Sea and the Western Pacific Ocean for a long time. His researches mainly focus on the spatial and temporal variabilities and the various mechanisms of turbulent mixing, as well as its potential modulation on large-scale circulation. He has been responsible for two projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, one project of Shandong Province Natural Science Foundation for Outstanding Young Scholars, and several other national projects. He has published more than 10 papers in international marine professional journals such as Journal of Physical Oceanography. In 2019, he was awarded the Shandong Provincial Natural Science Outstanding Youth Fund.
