Short Bio:

Dr. Li received his BSc (1988) and Master (1991) degrees in aquaculture at Ocean University of China. He then obtained his PhD in fisheries in 1997 from Tohoku University, Japan. He became a professor at Ocean University of China in 2000. His main research interests include genetics and reproduction of marine molluscs. His laboratory investigates molluscan population genetics, phylogenetics, reproductive biology, and genetic improvement of the Pacific oyster. He has authored over 350 peer-reviewed papers in these areas.
